Greystoke Castle - Saturday 18 October 2014
We are pleased to confirm the return of the No Ego Mud Challenge Penrith on Saturday 18 October at Greystoke Castle! Are you ready to take on the Penrith beast?
This is where it all began, Greystoke Castle, Penrith. This is a 10k No Ego 'Mud' Challenge which will take place just north of Greystoke Castle. Don't be fooled the terrain is some of the wildest in England. Running here is classed as an 'obstacle' itself!
This year will again see massive improvements to the course, with more obstacles and more mud and water sections. The Lake District views from the course are some of the most beautiful in England, if you can keep your head up long enough to appreciate them.
Prepare to undertake probably the toughest ‘mud’ challenges in the UK, with 30+ gruelling obstacles that are designed to test you to the max.
From 'The Mangle' and 'Scafell pike', to 'Tunnel of Mud' and 'Getting Tyred' the No Ego Challenge obstacles are among the toughest, muddiest and testing obstacles on the circuit.
Combined with extreme October weather on exposed and harsh terrain this is going to be the challenge of the fittest!
For more smiles per miles we highly recommend running in a team. But rest assured if you run on your own you will quickly make friends with other runners.
75% of participants enter a No Ego 'MUD' Challenge as part of a team. To be eligible for team staus you need a minimum of 4 members, the bigger the team the bigger the discount.
