No Ego Mud Challenge - Preston 2014

Posted on: 15th May 2014

It's now been a few days since No Ego Challenge took over Leisure Lakes near Preston for the second Mud Challenge in Lancashire. The event was our biggest and toughest race to date with over 1,000 warrior runners taking part jumping over walls, through gruelling mud, water trenches and over rivers. Despite the looming rain the event was a huge success and it couldn't have been possible without all of you taking part. We here at No Ego would like to thank each and everyone one of you who turned up and hit the course with every ounce of energy you could muster, all with smiles on your faces.

Since the event we had some amazing feedback and we can't wait to get the next Mud Challenge up and running (watch this space!). In the mean time check out for our other challenges.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered, helped us out or worked on the day - it would not be possible without you all helping.

A reminder that the official photographs courtesy of My Bib Number are now online at Purchase your images before Sunday and save 33%!

Have you got the bug for No Ego Challenges? Check our 'Conquer The Forest' Trail 10km and Half Marathon at Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire on Saturday 19 July. This is the first in a series of No Ego planned events where runners take on mother natures best terrain and natural obstacles. There will be NO constructed obstacles on this race route. However, each event will have enough multi terrain obstacles, fallen tress, mud, water, hills and a bit more mud and hills to keep your heart pumping and adrenaline flowing. Enter online today at and show nature what you're made of!
